    I raise the drive up to max put tools and parts in a bucket and hang it off the back, then jump in with a life jacket and go for it. And like the guys said above, grease the prop splines and tie the wrench to your hand and keep track of the parts..

    There are flow meters available that have an alarm on them. Don't know anything about them but might be handy for when the ice bag gets caught on the intake..

    Gotcha, without any identification marks it won't be easy.. but probably out there somewhere. Maybe you can change the pins.

    Lots of water proof 2 pin connectors available for 5 bucks or so.

    If my recently acquired searay 22 is any indication of weight vs power, I agree..my boat is heavy compared to the 21ft CC I had. The CC was 1000 lbs lighter with basically the same engine. Like a Camaro compared to a Cadillac But once upon plane it is smooth.

    I think water expands in all directions when freezing, I've left a few open mason jars in the rain and they will break.

    Pull the flame arrestor and have someone drive the boat while you observe the carb. When they hammer down you should see a generous spray of fuel..

    I have done something similar on motorcycle cables but the last lower cable I put on was Teflon coated and the sheath as well.

    I just lube the brass slides. The cable itself is pre-lubed I believe.

    I generally use what I have handy if it's oil. WD 40 is not a lube so you don't want it.
