    If this motor had water inside on the bearings for 2 weeks you may have major rust damage on bearings.----Some will argue, but I think this unit needs to come apart for inspection.

    Did copper tube come out attached to the water pump ?-----If so, it must be installed before lower unit can be installed.

    Here I would simply take the lower unit apart for inspection , repair as needed and re-assembly.-----No manual needed and no need to buy any parts.-----These units are simple , well engineered and reliable.----Your location ?

    Having to use choke would indicate fuel system needs attention.

    Pull the flywheel.-----Inspect anti reversing spring.----Inspect drive key on bottom of rotor.-----Motor is always in FOWARD when not running.-----With 12 volts applied to green wire it shifts to NEUTRAL after just 1 turn of the flywheel.

    Service bulletin came out in 1994 to make cooling system modification.----Many of those motors failed with #2 piston scoring.

    Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on each lead ?------Checked reed valves?-----Checked flywheel key?

    Post actual results of a compression test first.

    Just make a simple tester.----2 pieces of wire glued on carboard.-----A 3/8" gap between the wire.-----One end in a plug boot.-----Other end clipped to the block.
