Very odd.-----Is it a factory part that you bought ?----If yes than take it back.-----Teeth on the flywheel possibly damaged by someone trying to remove the flywheel?----Is the rope the correct diameter ?----Was the spring on the gear greased ?
Oil in a test barrel is a concern to many folks.-----I have stated it many times.----Oil / lubrication / operation / inner workings of 2 strokes is not well understood.-----Oil floating in your test barrel is normal for that motor !
This item prevents sudden closing of throttle plates.-----Why do you think it needs to be replaced ?-----Why are you having an issue finding the part # for it.
Remove the coil.----Remove left over bolt.-----Repair threaded hole with a helicoil if needed.----Install coil.------Find a new mechanic or get a manual for simple repairs.
These buzzers have a wee circuit ( brain ) that sounds the alarm for 2/ 3 seconds when key is turned on.-----A self test so to speak.----That circuit can be defective.
The 2 wire motor use 2 relays to switch + and - .-----The 3 wire motors may use 1 solenoid for up.---- Down is lower current through the switch.-----Find the wiring diagrams for both to see what to do.
The pump is to be mounted directly over the PRESSURE pulse port on the side of top cylinder.-----So 2 nipples on the pump.-----Remove the pulse limiter and plug that hole.-----Use the 556 pump with the gasket & 2 screws.
Installed many of those vibration kits myself.-----Compared to the easy to service 1963 model 10 HP the 9.5 was harder to work on for major repairs.-------Those outer shells took extra time to remove.-----But if you look at modern " sleek cowlings " on many new motors today they were not too...
There is a seal on the driveshaft.----A seal on the propshaft.-----I showed the 8 year old grandson how to change the impeller on a 10 HP once.----I think he ( now 13 ) could change the seals on this simple gearcase.-----Nothing is going to jump at you.
It sounds like normal oil seepage common on 2 stroke motors.-----Oil mixed with gasoline and the workings of a 2 stroke are not well understood.-----Pretty simple to install new oil seals on that little machine.
