    excessive corrosion?

Magnesium erodes faster than aluminum, but that means it will protect better even though you will need to replace it more often. If you cant find an electrical issue, I would switch to magnesium electrodes to save the rest of your stuff from erosion....these anodes are much cheaper than...

    Old I/Os = Money Pits?

Been a boat owner for over 60 years, all but one have been aluminum. That one glass boat was a good boat but it taught me some lessons. Glass boats are heavy, they ride smoother but need more hp !! It takes a lot of work to keep a glass boat looking good after the first 5 years of owning it...

In the old days ( when I was a young lad) most outboards were the clamp on type. For various reasons these higher powered motors would become unclamped and fall in the drink....this is where safety chains became popular. Whats your system for dockside mooring covers

Your only real secure/ water proof cover is to get one custom made. Have the maker understand how your boat is moored and what kind of acess you will have while it is moored!! No way an over the counter cover will be waterproof and have an easy way to put it on, unless you buy a cover and...

Top pin in pic is the latch pin to hold in place, bottom is fuel inlet, something in your pic doesnt look right.....Your fuel line plug is a cheapie, sorry but that is what many fuel lines come with nowadays. I always prefered the older cast metal ones which were rebuildable.
