    Pictures or a model # ?-----If this is an OMC built motor the points and condensers for a Johnson or Evinrude will fit.----On the shelf every where.----You are sure wires from coils are going to the correct point set ?---Cam not upside down.----Points cleaned and set at 0.020" ?

    Just plain stainless bolts will do.-----It may be tricky to find bolts with correct length of threads.-----Just match them up.

    My guess ---knowing some motors , that on that big block 90 degree looper it is a crankshaft sealing ring.-----But only a semi educated guess.----I believe there were earlier posts discussing the performance of this motor last fall.

    You need to take this motor apart for inspection.----The marks were made by a broken piston ring , crankshaft sealing ring or broken bearing !!
