    Ignition coil is the cheaper item to try next.----You will get spark after everything is new.

    Demand in your local area determines what you can get for it.-----Ability to get repairs from a shop determines the demand for older motors.----Is this an inline 6 cylinder ?

    Cranking speed has nothing to do with making the spark on that motor.----Checked the rotor ?----Distributor cap ?---Likely the " amplifier " or CD module is bad.----Most of the time a new coil is suggested when replacing the amplifier.

    A compression test is the #1 step to take in trouble shooting any outboard motor.----Simple to do.-----Could be a blown head gasket or worse.----Also test spark as it could be running on just 1 cylinder.

    The motor is NOT newer than a 1988 model year.----It is 86 / 87 or 88 model.----Basically all the same as far as parts are concerned.

    The 33 HP was marketed from 1965 to 1970.----An excellent , simple , reliable and easy to maintain motor.---That boat would do about 30 MPH.----Your location ?----Lots of props listed on " flea-bay" I am sure.

    Check fuel pump diaphragm.---Might be ruptured.

    Put it in boiling water and see if it opens.----Then drench it in cold water and see if it closes.---Repeat as needed.

    Yes and no.-----First check the flywheel key.----If it is not sheared you can use a timing light.----But timing on these motors does not go out of adjustment.-----What is your motor doing / not doing ?

    Find the fuse in the wiring harness.---Be near the starter solenoid.----Little black rubber plug holds it.

    Yes----I have a few of those " towers of power " motors.-----But I would get blisters on my typing fingers explaining where this part hooks up.----Up to you to look where the other broken pieces are.----Be an easy fix here,-----I step aside now.
