    I just took a motor like that apart the other day.----Worst I have ever seen as far as lack of oil on the fine machinery / parts.-----Are you mixing gas / oil at 50:1 on this motor ?----How long have you owned this motor ?----Water pump checked ?

    That spring clip is there to pull the float needle down should it be sticky.----I have never tweaked one of those !

    The high pressure pump is contained in a " float chamber "-------The low pressure pump keeps that container filled.-----There is a filter on the high pressure pump too.----Have you looked inside that float chamber ?

    What is the factory number on the old seal?----- The crankshaft METAL sealing rings and gaps are what they talk about.----Your motor has those !!-----I just ordered a factory original manual for a 2009 E-TEC off E-bay.-----Will get it in within 2 weeks.----No idea where you are looking and why...

    The seloc manuals are best used in the wee house with the moon in the door.----Any numbers on the new seals ?----Any numbers on the old seal ?----Magnifying glass may be required to read numbers on the rubber .

    Nature can be cruel to nuts and bolts.------One thing that can be done on new motors is to remove certain bolts one at a time.---Remove lower unit and water pump -----Dip threads in sealer and re-install.----Keeps water out of the threads and nearly eliminates corrosion products from jamming...
