1995 Force 120hp. Lower unit gaskets?

I'm trying to purchase 3 new gaskets from "IBoats" for the lower unit for when I change out the gear oil. 1995, 120hp. Can someone help with a part number? I need the serial number which I can't get until I get home and look at the motor, but, the gaskets I'm assuming will be universal for any...

Is this normal? It does not pour out but a fair amount does drip through the cowl. Can I correct this somehow? Thx Dave

    Really stuck?

As you can see I replaced both harness and trailer connections. Not much changed, the right directional flickers a little better and the right brake light still doesn't work. All running lights work and the left directional and brake lights work good, just like before the connection changes...

Frustrated! What is wrong and how to fix?

All running lights work. The right side brake light doesn't and the right side directional flickers but you can barely see it. I installed a new sealed capsule and it didn't help. Brought it back as the salesman told me he thought it would be a bad ground anyway. I have a brown and green wire...

    How to check ground wires?

I have the sealed capsule tail lights. The right side works but when I hook the trailer up, the directional barely flickers. I can't figure out how to remove the capsule from the bracket because of the plastic lip that holds it to the bracket but the problem may be as simple as a ground...

    Sealed Capsule brake/directional light ?

Good Morning Gentleman, I'm trying to replace the starboard side trailer brake light. The directional does not flicker bright enough. This is the sealed capsule unit and I can't figure out how to remove it from the box bracket without possibly breaking it. Does anyone know how to remove the...

    Tiller and Steering Cable question?

1995 Force 120hp. The boat turns sharply and quickly to starboard if I let go of the wheel. When under throttle the steering wheel has to be held firmly to keep her straight. I've adjusted the tiller as far left as possible with very little or no compensation. The tiller can only go so far left...

    Stumped ?

'95 Bayliner 1700 Capri LS, open bow. The lower end of my ski locker has a drain hole that is supposed to drain into the back of the boat. Something is plugging up the hole. I used a cloths hanger and was able to pull out some weeds and other stuff. I realized the gas tank is down there attached...

    '95 Force 120hp/ Tachometer

Good Morning Gentleman, Is it possible to understand how fast I'm going using a tach instead of a speedometer? For example, if my tach reads 3500, appoximately how fast is the boat going? The boat weighs 1745lbs if that helps. I understand other variables are probably at work: prop, total...

Slightly Faded Hull, New Registration Numbers Blend.

Hello Fellows, Not sure if this is the right discussion board but here goes. Bought a boat from Mass and I'm changing the hull registration numbers to NY. The boat is a '95 and the hull has some fading but not that much. Anyway I can blend-in the imprint left from the old numbers to the the...

    Where to look?

Hello Gentleman. I posted this question in the non engine related topic but maybe someone can help me here. I have a '95 Capri 1700 LS. I have the bow cover, camper top and mooring cover. I would like to find, buy, or even find out if they make: side windows, and an aft canvass for this model...

Hello Gentleman! I have a '95 Bayliner Capri 1700LS. I have the bow cover and camper top, also a mooring cover. I'm wondering and/or looking for side windows and an aft canvass to be able to completely cover the boat while still using it, and in case of rain or for an overnight. Any...

1995 Force 120. One owner and taken care of.

Hello everyone! Been a little while but I know where the help is. I'm looking at a '95 capri with the 120hp this Saturday. I had a '84, 85hp for seven years so I'm familiar with the motor and did all my own "basic" maintenance. Great motor, always got me home. The '95 would be after Mercury...

Good Morning Gentleman, I may be purchasing a boat from Maryland, I live in NY. I am also thinking about the actual registration numbers on each side of the bow. Q: will this be difficult to Re-register to NY? Q: who or how will it work with the Bow numbers? Q: will nys motor vehicle explain...

Trailering 400 miles thru the northeast. Ideas/Suggestions/What to look for?

I started a thread on buying a boat approximately 400 miles away. I'm in NY and the seller is in Maryland. A couple of guys mentioned some concerns about the trailering part. I'm looking for any and all precautionary steps to take, what to look for when I go see the boat as far as the trailer...
