    1988 90hp Johnson No Spark

    wont jump 1/2 gap? Where should I start testing? I get power to starter so motor will crank. I did notice with a probe that the #3 #4 #5 #6 posts are weak That would be Grey,Red,Red,and Red Grey Stripe.:confused:

    1988 Johnson 90hp Cowling (restore)

    Has anybody painted or restored a hood - cowling, I dont think Johnson painted these in 1988, is there a compound and polish to use, or should I paint it? Its realy not that bad just a little dull and dirty. Thanks

    1988 Johnson 90hp removing lower unit, wont come off

    I removed all the bolts my manual had described and cant get the lower unit to seperate from the exuast. any suggestions.

    1988 Johnson 90hp got stuck in the mud

    1988 Johnson 90hp got stuck in the mud, really overheated started burning white smoke. Obviously it wont start right now, does anybody have a list of things to start checking before I bring it to the shop. Thanks

    1988 johnson 90hp runs great wot dies at idle

    New fuel pump, vro has been by passed, rebuilt carbs, motor runs great at any speed except idle. Idles great in drive way, idles great at first cold start. After warmed up idle dies. WHAT DO YOU EXPERTS THINK!!!!!!!

    Replaced VRO pump and replace with pre mix fuel pump. New Plugs gap at .040 . New fuel pump, Re built Carbs. Motor ran great for a while now quits at WOT. Help
