    383535 vs 311932

I'm going to use a helicoil on the blue cylinder head assembly above. My question is...Should I use gasket sealer? The new gasket i ordered says specifically "Do not use Sealer". I assume this is what I should do, but wanted some more assurance. Thanks in advance! Rob

    383535 vs 311932

The part where the spark plug goes in won’t hold a spark plug anymore. I’m not exactly sure what to call it.

    383535 vs 311932

The cylinder headed is cross thread. I don’t have the parts side by side but I can from More pictures it won’t fit. Exciting to know there are new old stock of omc parts near me. I’d that alone is with the knowledge

    383535 vs 311932

The spark plug socket is cross threaded on a new motor I just bought a 1969 25 hp Evinrude. I took the cylinder head off to buy a sav a thread to put into it. Got on eBay looked around and actually found a brand new old stock omc cylinder head for a 20 hp part number 311932. The part was...

How to best install trolley motor

I got a new trolley motor yesterday. I’m trying to decide best way to install it. My first thought was build up this corner with wood blocks to get desired height. This would also be fairly heavy. Do anyone have a better suggestion? The casting deck is about 8 inches from the lip ok the bow...

    Extension to foot drive cable

I've seen different trolley motors with different set ups. Im not opposed to getting a different trolley motor if necessary.

    Extension to foot drive cable

I don’t know how to best describe it so a picture is best. I’d like this part to be longer to be able to put the foot pedal on the floor of my boat: I’ve got a small casting deck and I don’t always like to stand on it when I’m fishing. Is there a way to extend this part? I’ve for a minn kota...

Can i cut my bunks down?

Maybe Y'all can answer this My car is a 2010 honda CRV. Max towing capacity is rated for 1500 lbs. My tongue weight now is around 240 lbs. When i moved boat up almost 2 feet is was weighting around 280 lbs. Im guessing both of these are too heavy technically. Ive never noticed any issues.

    Top speed??

I slapped this motor on moms boat since she needed electric start and called it a day. Her house has a couple acre pond and they might get it on big water 2 times this years.

Can i cut my bunks down?

I am just keeping this thing until I buy a new trailer. I talked to a local shop today. $1400 for a new galvanized trailer. I am really leaning towards doing this. I have sold some extra stuff so I've got the money. I am keeping boat for a good while. She deserves a good ride. Plus Im getting...

Can i cut my bunks down?

My tongue weight is already too darn high, so I am not going to cut anything down. I have decided to moved everything back to where it was. My next step (hopefully tomorrow or next week) is to get a weight of my boat and trailer to see how much that total is. I think I am going to have to move...

    Top speed??

My speed assessments are based on 1 in the boat. I was getting 13.5 mph out of this 15 with just me in it. I was getting around 8 with 3 dudes in the boat. Brett must've had that last bagel that morning and was slowing us down.

    Top speed??

If motor is 9.9 OMC is doing some false advertising. Transom length is 20". This is long shaft so 22". I don't think I've ever caught too many fish. Hope my next trip out is the day!

    Top speed??

Carb open all the way. Roller is in good shape, no broken bits on the throttle. I cleaned my carb and turned the screw on the cam roller just a 1/8th of a turn or so. Unfortunately the low speed idle adjustment on the side seems to be stiff. I'm going to lubricate it and see if I can free it...

Can i cut my bunks down?

Thing about this whole thing is my trailer is about to give up the ghost anyways. I was just going to experiment with it while I can.

Can i cut my bunks down?

I think I’ve got it! Weigh my boat and trailer, tongue weight should be 10% of total Number. Keep moving my winch stand back until I reach 10%, if tongue weight is still too high move axel forward. To answer my question above I think the answer is my axel is too far forward on trailer at this...

Can i cut my bunks down?

Thank you! I guess I should’ve phrased my question better. Does a tongue weight of 239 lbs for a Jon boat and trailer seem accurate? I read online tongue weight should be around 10% of total load, and I can’t see this Jon boat and trailer weighing 2400 lbs.

Can i cut my bunks down?

Can anyone explain why my tongue weight is so heavy? It doesn’t make sense to me unless my scale is just reading horribly. I weighed myself and it was pretty close
