    I have been working on my '97 25E Merc outboard and pulled the flywheel off my '02 20 Jet and found that there are 4 magnets instead of 2. The Stator was of a different design too. They both have the same leads coming out (Brown-Yellow trace and Brown-white trace) Would the '02 system work on...

    I have ruled out plugs, plug leads, coils, CD box and kill switch wire. The 'hot' wire for the top cylinder coil is sending an intermittent signal. I'm running out of ideas.....
