    I'll be putting my lower unit back on soon. And still can't figure out if the bent part of the shift rod should be facing forward or back. Thanks for any help here.

    120hp Evinrude impeller removed,reassembly question

    My shift rod rotated 90 degrees when I removed the lower unit. I put a scribe mark on it, measured it, but it would be helpful to know which way to turn it now. Does the bent part of it go towards the back of the motor or the front?<br />I tried looking with a flashlight, and can't see...

    Frozen Water Pump Impeller, 120 Evinrude

    Took the lower unit off, ordered the rebuild kit. Cant budge the impeller! Put the tools away at 10 o'clock, frustrated. Don't want to damage the lower end. Got some penetrating oil sprayed on it. Anyone have any suggestions?
