    Extend tongue or not?

    My trailer has what i think is a short tongue. I have to nearly put the rear bumper of the tow vehicle in the water get the boat to float off the trailer. Are there any adverse side effects to extending the tongue? I was thinking about making it 3 feet longer. Any advice is appreciated.

    Tach for outboard

    I recently bought my first boat. It' a 2003 16' 7" G3 V167C with a Yamaha 50TLRA outboard. It has no gauges in it and i was hoping to install a tach. Could any of you give me some pointers about the wiring. Thanks in advance.
