US built boat trailers imported into Canada

So a few weeks back we purchased a boat and tandem trailer that came originally from the US. I spoke to the licensing authorities, in our case SGI in Saskatchewan and was informed that any trailer built after 1 Jan 1985 and rated over 3000#, must have two brake axles. Just a heads up for anyone...

What type of tools would you take along and store on your boat? Have one I already use for my RV. Usual things, hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, etc, etc.

    Excuse my ignorance but......

Open the center window, slide open the hatch and then hike myself up on the deck? or could I build a small ladder to lean up against the dash and climb up that. Sorry for such a stupid question but this is my first "big"...

    Rollers

New to the boating world but not trailers. My trailer has rollers and I'm wondering should the arms on which the rollers are mounted, be able to pivot left and right or should they remain static in the shape of the boats hull?

So we finally sold our little 12ft fishing boat that we have many fond memories of and are now looking for something a tad bigger. Our family of four (two kids 12 & 14) enjoy tubing and fishing. Our choices are mainly open or closed bow and in/outboard configuration. Boats right now on our radar...
