    Merc 115hp 1978 model Wiring Harness

    Does anyone know where I can get an internal wiring harness for this engine? They guy that rebuilt this engine hooked it up backwards on the switch box and melted all the wires, and burned up the switch box. Upside is, it has 150lbs of compression on each cylinder though.

    I am looking for a switchbox for this motor, the engine ser# is 4858349 and the part number for the switchbox is 332-2986A21. Does anyone have one of these laying around thier shop that works? Is this an interchangeable part? Is there an aftermarket part to replace this part?

    I pulled the cover off and there was nothing there. Is this right? There is a shaft sticking out of the exhaust housing, That I can turn by hand and it turns the prop. What could the problem be? The motor is a 1973 Johnson 25HP. Should that shaft go into something?
