    Trim Pump Problem. 88 V6 135HP

    Went to trim motor up today.Was making grinding type sound and going very slowly.Trimmed back down sounded ok.Noticed fluid leaking from pump.Want to refill to see where leaking.Need to trim to full up position to check level.Will I damage pump if I try to tilt all way up....doesn't sound good...

    Pump foam over soft stringers.

    After buying my boat last year,I later found out the hull was pumped with foam and that the stringers were a little soft.Do I need to worry about the hull strength or will the foam act as a support. 1986 Haines 17" Fibreglass.

    Starter switch at solenoid

    G'day,I want to crank from motor to check my timing,without turning key.Can someone confirm what these switches are called,and do they just hook to solenoid.

    Carb Rebuild V6 135HP 1988

    About to take off all carbs to clean and replace all gaskets and needle/seat assembly.I know I have to sync carbs when I reassemble,but why the timing?Does unhooking throttle linkage throw out the timing?Or is it just a precaution?Thanks for any help. Paul.

    Merc V6 dual float carb.Need help with Part #.

    G'day,Trying to ID my carb so I can order correct kit for rebuild.I've found at top rear of carb has WH stamped but no number??And at front top of carb is 35 1A top,35 2A middle,35 3A bottom.Can anyone make sense of this.Thanks,Paul.

    MERC V6 135 1988 Carb Problem

    Fuel dripping from carb area,so I took silence box cover off and started engine.Seems to be coming from thin hose connected to Silence box,bubbling fuel into silence box.What is that hose for??? It doesn't say in my manual,only that I should disconnect small hose to silence box when taking off...
