    All done. replaced the ignition (key) switch. Also cleaned up pins at 6-pin connector.

    Hi all, a very recent and sudden problem arose after I have attended to and fixed lots of problems on my Johnson BJ50 BELEDS. The starter motor works, and engages with the flywheel.     Thanks for your posts. In early 2021 I'll be looking for a power trim/tilt unit to fit a Johnson 2 cylinder 1996 (40hp or 50 hp would fit). Also junction box/relay system.

    I'm in England. I think you're right in suggesting I upgrade to a power trim/tilt system. What parts will I need? I'm thinking I need the unit, a motor, wiring. Anything else? I won't do this until after the New Year.
