    My current 4.3 has roller cam and non balance shaft block, will this affect the conversion to Vortec? I have already purchased the Edlebrock 1409 4 bbl Performer carb and the EDL-2519 Performer intake from Summit Racing as Scott suggested.

    I am converting to Vortec and currently have a 2bbl MerCarb. Is it better to switch to a 4 bbl for more horsepower or can the same be achieve w/ my current 2 bbl? Thanks.

    Can anyone help with finding Felpro cylinder head and intake gaskets only and not the whole set for the vortec 4.3?

    Do you think it's wiser and more economical to go w/ the 4.3 Vortec instead of 5.7 Vortec in regards to gas and parts?

    Boat weighs about 2,260 lbs. and when fully loaded w/ 4 fishermen and a 2 scoops fiber glassed bait tank would be around 3,200 lbs. Trying to get more speed.

    With the load and the 5.7L motor, what could be my max speed? Should I get the regular 5.7 or Vortec 5.7?
