    You have no head gasket on that motor. Get a bore scope or start taking the motor apart.

    Unplug the black/yellow stripe wire from the CDI and see if spark comes back. You will have to kill it with the choke if it starts. Put up a pic of the front of the motor.

    Is the pulse limiter removed? Are the carbs clean especially the idle circuit? Main Jet? Sounds like the motor is either idling to low or leaning out.

    What Motor? there is a service bulletin for that plug. BP8H-N-10 is a replacement for the BUHW. That is for the 18/20/25 and 100/115 2+2 motors. Or the champion QL78v is replacement for the BUHW

    That is the wrong nut they sent you. That part # does not look to be superseded. So you need the taller nut.

    It is also a rectifier that converts AC to DC voltage. If it goes bad your battery will not charge. Pretty important part of the charging system.
