    They show both styles of carb for your motor. So you probably have the right one. After your compression and spark test make sure the right gaskets are used. That carb kit has both sets of gaskets in it. Easy to screw them up.

    The plastic spacer in the pump is used on later models. Make sure the correct gaskets were used in yours. What is your serial #

    That motor is definitely not running on 4 cylinders. Get a plastic pliers and pull the plug wires one by one. How clean are the carbs? Coils cracked?

    Clean and rebuild the carb again. Get a good kit with the fuel pump and primer diaphragms.

    That allows you to use the existing fuel fittings. Why do you think you need the double pump.

    That plug should be available everywhere. They used for like 20+ yrs. I would stick with Champions the Ngks can do weird things. Like foul prematurely, cause misfires just weird things.

    You need to get the book for it. Generally crossing the battery will blow a fuse. But the Japanese motors use a little different stator set up.

    Well the fallacy of not charging a dead battery with your motor is BS. I have seen that happen on Mercs before replace all the connectors then test the charging system.

    How is the 75 a detuned 90 hp? That would only be on the 3 cylinder blocks.

    If you are looking at the 3 cylinder Merc that is an excellent choice. The 75 omc will never be ideal for what you want to do.
