    100:1 or 50:1?

Still wrong! No matter how many times you say it you will not be right. Maybe you just don't understand it? Maybe you should look at Amsoils Website. Never to old to learn they say. There are absolutely oils capable of running 100-1. The OMC oil just was not uo to the task.

    100:1 or 50:1?

The misconception of 100-1 is it killed the motor while it was running. That is untrue, with the100-1 mix the problems happend during extended storage periods. The oil was not good enough to protect during those times. There are oils capable of being run 100-1 that do not have those issues.

    Johnson 112 vs 90 questions..

Let's start with Brunswick never owned OMC. The 48 and the 88 we're budget motors but mechanically they are identical to the 50 and the 90. The 110/112 we're full featured motors just cheaper than the loopers that were replacing them.

    Johnson 112 vs 90 questions..

No there should be a difference. The 112 Is just a rebadged 115 so you technically have 25 hp more. What is your compression? What are your Rpms at?

    Testing ignition on older OMC’s

The 9.5 in the video and the 75 15 hp do NOT have the same ignition. The Universal Magneto 73 and earlier and the low tension magneto 74 and up do not work the same. So be careful which ignition is being tested.
