I'm not one for 'snake oil', but. . . .

I gotta share this 'miracle in a can' I found today. I normally use cold tank cleaner(carb cleaner) to clean carbon, gaskets and paint off of engine components (pistons, blocks, gear cases etc.) The cleaner at work is in need of replacing. Had a few gaskets to clean off the block and a ton of...

    WD40? Is nothing sacred. . . . .

I heard some disturbing news today. WD40 is no longer flammable....One tech said he spent an hour trying to get an engine to fire using his trusty starting fluid (WD40). No dice. Several comrads said the same. If you are lucky enough to get old stock, hold on to it...
Don't rely on it as a...

    Hello Gents....hope your still around.
One last thing I forgot to mention.....I know this applies to the 70hp of that erra and for the few 6cyl. I've done, I beleive its the same, but I'm guessing....

Intermitent rough idle can be caused by sagged motor mounts which allowed...

Don't waste your time reading this if you are an expert . . .

Hello Gents.....I gotta get this off my chest.
- I'm no expert either!!....But I know that ignition systems are capable of producing very high voltages (30,000 – 50,000volts).
The spark plug presents a load to the ignition system and keeps the voltage down to around 4000 – 10,000 volts...

    Would this be of value?

With all the ignition problems we see, is there a tool out there as below. I realize a lab scope would tell us more, but who can afford one? If a guy could build one of these for $100.00 CAN. would it sell? Sure would take the guess work out of diagnosing a missfire under load (out on the lake)...
