    If you were overhauling an Evinrude............

    If you were overhauling a 1986 90hp v-4 should one inpect the reeds? Would you install Boyessen Reeds right off the bat? Or should you just leave the originals in if you're not concerned about added power? Any advice would be great!!<br /> :confused:

    86 Evirude 90hp V-4

    Can I safely substitute the lower crank bearing for a standard ball-bearing from a bearing supply house? The only obvious difference is the ball carriage is plastic from OMC and the substitute is steel. . . <br />Thanx<br /> :confused:
