    Take it to a machine shop. This post has gone on way to long for something as simple as a heli coil. If drilling and tapping make you uncomfortable they are cheap to have installed.

    Those motors are known for breaking the rings it is very common in the crossflow motors. That motor needs to be bored out and 4 new pistons put in it. Because if 1 breaks the other pistons are not far behind. Pull the motor and do it correctly.

    Have you done a spark check? Does spark jump 7/16" air gap. The factory manual will tell you how to test all this. A spark tester will cost $10 and looking to see if the lanyard is attached is free. A power pack that may or may not be bad will cost over $100. Your choice.
