Busy weekend but a little more progress. Conversion of tank fittings near complete.

More work on the ol head... Got the thru hulls in for test fit, still need to make backing plates.

    1974 Chieftain 25 "Adventurer" Restoration

You know, I've been wondering just how many pounds of wood and screws I've put into this thing so far, might roughly tally it up at the end. I figured in the beginning, the person capacity is higher than I'd actually want onboard (10-13?), so I'd gladly carry some more weight of amenities making...

Oh hell yeah, too bad I don't have anywhere else to mount the urinal but the forward wall.. Would've been a great place for a window and second set of helm controls! lol

You know, this compact little urinal really is pretty great I think! I'm definitely considering getting one for the backyard fence and maybe the house too. Pretty sure it'll keep the boat's throne a bit tidier! Kept thinking about balance struggles of guests in the bathroom while I'm callously...

Thanks! I grabbed the handheld for now but definitely want a nice base station mounted too eventually if I can. Would be handy to be able to give the handheld to a friend venturing on shore or just as backup too.

Handheld VHF, laid down bathroom floor, removed starboard mounted horns and small mast antenna, cut out hole in aluminum for the new (used) bathroom vent window. Next up- bathroom walls and door probably.

That emblem is just chromed plastic of some kind but it looks like real metal to me! Hoping that it won't want to corrode much being mainly if not almost all plastic? We shall see...

    new console has arrived!

Those glass tube ones always seem like they're going to shatter and imbed glass super efficiently into my finger tips lol I'm going to try to hook up my old school water speed guage too and see if it still works.

Bathroom mock up test. Seems pretty dimensionally luxurious to me. Will see if this meets the admiralty's standards later...

    1974 Chieftain 25 "Adventurer" Restoration

Felt like I was commiting a crime but I started the cutting and modifying of the nice teak table to turn it into the countertop. +More components like the awesome Ford V8 logo that the helm station desperately needed before even being built lol Really like how the bilge panel has a built in...

Thanks, I'm not completely sure how I'll do it but one way or another- this boat is getting an XL teak swim platform. I was trying to do it completely out of aluminum but the scrap gods never did yield any pieces the right thickness and big enough over the past few months. So it's going to be a...

    new console has arrived!

Looks like it's getting really close to mounting time! What's with the little red dots on the fuse panel? Are those fuse failure indicators?? If that's the case I think I may just have to grab one of those myself! I like regular old cheap, easy to pull, buss fuses way more than the thin glass...

Catch of the day! Got some great used materials at the scrap including part of an old roach coach for my kitchen area (ingrained from former shipyard days- this pattern was the symbol of comfort) and a badly bent up but totally saveable polished SS 22lb Lewmar plow anchor for just $75! That...

Shoehorning these Hugh Jass brand fuel tanks in here along with a bigger water tank to boot has made the port side filler neck area a bit tight. Ordered a preformed 90° Gates fuel hose section that should make the turn smoothly enough so it'll flow well and won't be a slow pain in the ass to...

    1974 Chieftain 25 "Adventurer" Restoration

Picked up the smaller swim platform and decided it is way too small. Picked up the distressed larger one to combine the two into one big platform. We'll see how that works out! Started putting water system together yesterday, pump has some serious pressure! The $20 cold only SS sink faucet came...

Alright, I like the idea of the glue on there too. Maybe people are tightening the clamps too much before it tacks up and causing it to slip off. I'll probably glue it on good, snug the clamp, then tighten it down good the next day.
