Finally tackled the bow crossmembers. Doubled up the first one that goes through the anchor locker. The 3 rear 3/8 pulpit through bolts go through the angle that ties it directly into the cross. The old bow lifting eye is now a rigid support strut. The pulpit is now extremely rigid, was standing...

Oh, it's definitely getting painted, I just haven't had time to paint (or pre paint) things. This project needs to be operational asap and has taken longer than expected so I'm going to be forging ahead relentlessly. Boat is going in the water, one way or another. Liberty ship mode. Ideally I'd...

Has it been a really rainy year there too? I can't believe how overcast this whole year has been, it's weird. Too bad there's no ocean in Arizona!!

Under seat storage box with below deck access hatch to bow bilge pump mount. A little overbuilt but this was to also reinforce the bow raised floor area where the anchor locker will be. Damn relentless rain is seriously hampering my progress. Forget about ever having more than 2 days without...

Pulpit finally sealed and through bolted. Very satisfying achievement I must say and I'm loving the look of this windlass setup! Wait till I bust out the consignment vintage faux woodgrain insert accented cleats that I have for her... 😅 They even match the tow/battle wagon lol One might think I...

Me too! I absolutely loved my Starchief. The things you can do with that boat, for so little gas and overall expense- is nothing short of amazing really. Can tow it with a 4cyl even! That is the boat that really transformed me into a dedicated boater. First: real cooking, overnights, slight...

It's been a long haul fixing her up but I think it'll be well worth it!

Pulpit is just propped up there at the moment.. Trying to coordinate the alignment of the windlass position/drop hole for the rode with the anchor locker currently...

A few more small victories. Made table post so that it can easily be bolt into two different positions while I was at it adding a reinforcing panel below. Bench seating supports are fixed and added a bunch more foam under the bow area.

Thanks! Hopefully the kitchen will come together smoothly now. The roof needed to be reinforced with the 3/4 on top before the big cupboard assembly can get mounted there bc I want it to be mounted as high as possible against the aluminum skin. It's all set now luckily so hoping to get the stove...

I really have been! Baking in the sun without a nice cool water foundation- it can be a very hot can too lol The rain keeps sabotaging me but have made more progress at least, bathroom window I just sealed minutes ago and so glad that's finally done.

The plan to reinforce the roof from above (where I removed the interior supports) requires windshield to be removed temporarily. Looks kinda cool without it but it'll be going back on.

Land based water test of head complete! The Jabsco marine toilet seems awesome in testing so far. Flushes water nice and consistently all the way around the rim which is really nice, if you pump it down fast it even produces a whirlpool like a land toilet! Now I will have an easy way to tell...

Water pressure gauge or water temperature gauge?

Sounds like this has been a really tough one to nail down. Assuming the engine corrosion isn't the culprit (sounds likely tho) and just to throw a completely different idea out there: think it's sucking air at higher speed maybe? I had a boat with a motor that was a touch too high (looked...

Thanks! The marine head I think was a great decision but damn has it soaked up some time! The plumbing has been a bit slow but it's almost there. Couldn't get the damn sanitation hose to fit over the pvc pipe ends as planned so had to get actual barbs and adapt the ends of all the connections...
