    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

Yeah...my understanding is that the RAM is just like my GMC. All shifting is shift by wire. There shouldn't be any cables at all. Personally, I would much prefer push buttons to shift the transmission or a small stalk on the right side of the steering wheel like my Rivian uses.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

On my 2024 GMC Denali 2500 with the 10 speed 10L1000 transmission, the column shifter is just an electric switch that sends what gear you selected to the transmission control module. There is no mechanical cable. I would much prefer something other than a column shifter since the shifter arm...

She is actually telling him what she is going to do to him if he wins the game.

Omc outdrive knocking noise while cruising.

I have an OEM OMC manual in PDF form. Send me a message and I can email you the link. It may not be your exact year but close enough.

    Flat tire on haul-out today . . .

He would be WAY better off just getting his tire fixed. He already has it jacked up. Another reason I like doing things myself. Wouldn't let a marina touch my equipment.

    Dragging caliper away from home

I would remove the caliper and lube the guide pins. If the guide pins seem to be ok, you likely have a stuck piston. As mentioned, see if you can push in the piston to get it unstuck.

    Flat tire on haul-out today . . .

Not a chance in hell would I do that. The other 2 tires are likely way overloaded and they will fail next.

Yeah...say that when the cable is stretched out you have run out of adjustment room like a 99 Silverado that I owned. Never had an issue with e-brakes yet. I currently have 3 cars that have them and I sold one 2 years ago with one with 70K miles on it.

LOL...I love E-brakes. Never have to have an emergency brake cable to ever have to adjust again is a good thing.

Well...blue cruise or adaptive cruise control will not work without having an electric brake master cylinder. BTW...Forscan is free!!!! All you have to do is buy a bluetooth OBD device which you kinda want anyway if you ever have a code set and want to read it with the FREE Forscan software. I...

You don't like Adaptive Cruise Control? Its very easy to use the program Forscan to add digital numbers above your gauges depending on the model year of your truck.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

No it is not. Most intervals are over 200k miles. WAY too long. I tow too much to use that schedule. I believe the GM schedule for the 10L1000 is 45k

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I have owned both the Ford 10R80(2018 F150) and GM 10L1000(2024 GMC Denali 2500 gas). Both are excellent performing transmissions I change ATF every 30k. Another thing. The comment that the extra shifts are a waste of time has to be the dumbest comment on here in a long time.

The 10 speed Allison is only on the heavy duty trucks and it was NOT a joint venture with Ford.

You do realize they are both the same transmission right. The only difference is basically the valve body and the case...possibly the CDF drum. GM and Ford had a joint venture on the 10 speed in light duty trucks.

You mean like the people that get their home subsidized by being able to write off their interest? I don't have kids so I guess I am subsidizing everyone else's kids education.

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I can tell when a car is coming that the lights shining towards that car are dimmed considerably. Can't say I have been on the receiving end of the Rivian headlights and it would have to be Gen 2 which started in late 2024...
