Johnson 115hp Need to lift motor off transom to install steering cable...Questions!

It will balance better all the way down if you are going to just slide it over. Jack up the trailer or pull the wheels up on a couple of wood blocks. Did the cables on my1990 tracker nitro a few years ago and just had to slide it over a bit. 175 hp and I moved it by myself without a lift...

1953 Chris Craft - need title

Do you currently have possession of the boat and a bill of sale? Also the previous owners name, registration, or other documents? What state did the boat come from and do you reside in that state or another? If it came with a trailer same questions. With this information I am sure that someone...

    Sharing a berth

Maybe next year they will discover Med Mooring and be able to increase the number of rentals by another 30 percent or so. I would love to have the video rights for that circus.

    Wrong impellar?

That is the way they look in the pump housing. They are positive displacement pumps. Note that the axis of the pump is not in the center of the housing. The rubber vanes fill with water on the intake side and squeeze it out on the discharge side as the vanes are defected in the housing. From...

Hello, New member. Assistance Please and tks

Does not sound like that good of a deal to me. 5.000C sounds about the right price if everything worked and the rest of the boat is in good shape. Remember that boat is 30 some years old. Possible paperwork problems with ownership questions. Don't know about Ontario but down here it might be...

    Help! Identifying type of boat

Right on. Note the registration code also shows outboard on the paper work. Ranger did for a short time make I/O bass boats but they didn't sell well. I have only seen one once up in my neck of the woods. People who own bass boats normally fish right up to when the lake is froze over and did...

    Starter and choke issue

Is that 10v when the key is turned to start and the starter is running or is it just when the key is pushed in to activate the choke only while in the run position? If it is the first then I would suspect the starter is drawing current and a slight drop in voltage would be normal. Don't know...

    Starter and choke issue

Did the parts store actually load test the battery or did they just check the voltage as it sat? Did you unplug the wiring harness from the motor and check for corrosion? It is time to start checking voltage at various points in the system while engaging the starter rather than just start...

    Hey Newbies

Back in 1972 I bought a ’69 Crownline with a Mercury 120 stern drive and froze it the first winter with about a 3 inch crack on the port side of the block. Sanded the paint off around the crack and patched over it with PC-7 epoxy. Ran the boat for about 4 more years and gave it to my Dad who...

    Auto AC stats and questions

You say you were pulling 30"hg. How was that measured? When evacuating a system you need be talking about miccrons. Takes a good (read expensive) electronic gauge and pump be able reach 50 microns. If you can pump down to 150 you probably got most everything out of the system.
