    Is the primer bulb full of fuel? It needs to be. Did you replace your water separator or other filter recently? Those are better if you fill them with fuel, rather than trying to pump them up using the primer bulb.

    It sounds like you have a 3 wire PTT motor. Make sure the black wire that grounds the PTT motor is clean and well connected to the battery negative termimal.

    The impeller can change the smoothness of the driveshaft turning. I would pull the impeller and then check the gearcase bearings for smoothness. Also, some driveshafts need to be pushed down by the waterpump base and shims, to set the driveshaft bearing into it's race.

    Purple is the new wiring color for ign power, replacing your white wire. It also needs to feed the choke button, to power it. Other terminals on the switch that you need are battery, solenoid (feeds neutral interlock switch in series), you will likely have a ground on the switch as well.

    Yes, an internal leak. Consider it "blowby" in the PTT cylinder. The check valves could also be an issue. A rebuild kit usually has them too.
