    Fuel capacity

Plenty on the site about that if you search for it. If I could get it for the same price as a 3.0L I would, and would have to get a $1-2k discount over a similar 4.3. While the parts are harder to find and more expensive, you only need half as many as a vee engine. You for sure need to be...

    Need help with plugs selection

I've been using these since my ngks rusted to crap after one season and one broke trying to remove. Any theoretical/magical performance gains offset by being able to remove the damn things.

    Unknown Short Circuit

No it isn't. Again, disconnect temp switch. Test it directly. Hopefully you're making sure there's no power in the circuit you're testing for continuity. Incorrect. Alternator and coil have nothing to do with this circuit, as mentioned. Op switch doesn't work that way, it's a mechanical...

    Unknown Short Circuit

@muc right, temp switch would need to be bad (closed when cold) for a short in p/y to blow that fuse.

    Unknown Short Circuit

A diode failure shouldn't blow the fuse or prevent cold starting either way though, right? P/y doesn't become purple. It branches at the oil press switch. When you have oil pressure the purple feeds The p/y wire. I don't see how a short in the p/y would cause that fuse to blow unless the temp...

    Started, died and wont restart

You might also be able to get to the tank through the vent line. looks like the starting system is separate from the PCM, so pulling the fuse to the PCM should disable the ignition and let you crank.

    Crusader 2004 Engine Ground Issue

Wiggle test. Just like it sounds. See if you can grab the wires, wiggle them and see if you can get the engine to die

    Stalling and Starting problems

Fuel issue until proven otherwise. Did you change/check the fuel filter?

    Lost gearage?

I couldn't find your prop on the solas site, but odds are that's an 18p

    Unknown Short Circuit

I don't think so, but depending on your fault you may not be powering your fuel pump. Default position of the tks module is enrichment... It provides less fuel over time when powered, like standard choke. That said, a lot more complexity for no real purpose.

    Unknown Short Circuit

That looks like the tks fuse. Orange wire connects to the temp switch. A short in the wiring or switch will blow that immediately. Try disconnecting the temp switch.

    1970 181 to a 1978 181 different engine harness?

It's literally a one minute job knocking it from the inside. You aren't touching anything but the old bearing. The alignment tool is a giant piece of steel, you won't hurt it. But feel free to use something else. Curious as to what exactly you're worried about?

    1970 181 to a 1978 181 different engine harness?

Install doesn't really matter, although as others have said you'll need the engine in there to align it. However, to remove the old one, especially if it's rusted in place, it's much easier with the engine out of the boat. You can just use your alignment tool and a BFH to knock it out from the...

1996 SeaRay 215 Express Cruiser electrical issue

So your wiring is buggered. Your oil pressure switch is bypassed. Dangerous. Google can tell you in detail, but basically you test for voltage between 2 points on the same wire/circuit. Put 1 end of your meter on either end of a wire for example, with a current flowing through the circuit...

1996 SeaRay 215 Express Cruiser electrical issue

Check out the diagram I posted. Pur/yel is energized off the starter during cranking and powers the fuel pump. When the op switch closes it back feeds the pump through the p/y wire. Tbolts don't have the resistance wires so always 12v from purple to the coil. I think everyone agrees that a bad...

1996 SeaRay 215 Express Cruiser electrical issue

You don't. You're measuring something wrong. If the ignition is on, yes. No. You're still all over the place with your testing. You've had a bunch of specific questions asked that you aren't answering, and keep just checking random unrelated things.
