    Sure, sand the prop, wipe with turpentine, immediately apply etching spray primer (available in rustolium rattle can) and gloss black spray paint. Now don't hit bottom and the paint will stay on.

    Alarm on 150 2 stroke outboard

    Is that an old Merc/Mariner? Most overheat alarms work by grounding the signal wire to the block. These wires are usually brown or brown/white. If the insulation falls off, then can short to ground tripping the alarm.

    I run a single cable NFB on my 21 footer with a 150HP Ocean runner. I would think that Merc 200 would work as well. Is that Merc a 2.0L motor? If so, you might consider the Evinrude as it is a 2.5L motor which I would think will have more bottom end.

    Something else I thought of. If you pull the main plug the buzzer may stop, since it is disconnected. In that case, you will need to look for voltage on the accessory/ign wire at the engine plug. I would expect the wire to be purple.
