    You can swap the relays and see if it now runs in the other direction. Can't reverse the polarity on a DC motor with a single SPDT relay.

    Turning the shift boot? I'm saying take the cable off and move it in and out by hand Water coming into the boat or going out? Again, disconnect cable and try shifting manually. Should be K-Y smooth. That will tell us if it's the cable/drive or an adjustment problem. It shouldn't move at all...

    Wow, didn't know this existed. Any experience with it? I was thinking about fitting a wideband O2 sensor to tune, this would certainly be easier. I tried plug chop when I initially tuned my carb. IMO, difficult/impossible to get a reliable reading esp on a boat

    No, some accessories will be different as well as the balancer, starter, some metric bolt... Vortec block will be serpentine instead of v belt drive
