    89 Johnson 60hp won't start

    Someone has replaced the fuel tee at carbs with aotomotive vacuum type....replace with OEM before using. The walls are thin and fuel will soften and dissolve them, plus your missing primer

    Earrow Outboards.-

    These where the 25Hp 4 strokes.. engines lost oil pressure as they wore in. Pinions failed on gearset ..why ??? I didnt investigate , just fixed to keep owners satisfied. Started seen gear failure in latter months. 5-7 months as only 2 made it out of warranty with no issues.

    Why as these rarely fail...that why Merc didnt put sensors on oil pump. Only oil failure you will see is if link arm popps off(really rare). These motors mainly fail from overpropped/lugging or temp issues.
