    I will revise my no. Given enough time and money, yes, the CV85 can be converted to an oil injection model. $10,000 grand or so in parts might do it. New block, new CDI assembly, oil tank, engine harness and a bunch of other stuff will be needed. And the oil pump of course.

    A 2011 Yamaha F115 is fuel injected. Idle RPM is not adjustable. If you try to play with something to change the RPM the ECU is going to do its best to make another adjustment to counter what was done.

    Yamaha is not always consistent by the way with respect to wire colours. Best to look at the applicable service manual. Then see if the wiring agrees with the SM.

    Constant battery power = red wire. Key on battery power = yellow wire. Relay on battery power = red/yellow wire.

    Red is for other Yam instruments that need constant battery power. Also can be used for the memory of a radio if one has one installed.

    The center cylinder has the same water flow all around it that the top and bottom cylinders do. Should run no hotter.

    Detonation can result from a cylinder running too hot. From being slightly too lean or for other reasons.

    Lack of oil in the gasoline would result in a different kind of damage IMO. And to all three cylinders. And to other internal parts as mentioned. Crank shaft being just one. Bearings. Cylinder walls. From what I can see damage is limited to the number two cylinder. Perhaps to the piston only...

    Looks like detonation damage to me. Breaks chunks of the piston off. Piston shrapnel then damaged the top of the piston, the cylinder head, the reed cage, etc..
