    Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... That is because the only "Out" ports on the circulating pump, are the 2 ports into the block,..... All the other ports in the housing are "In" ports,.....

    Ayuh,..... You need to pull just the outdrive, as it's shaft goes into the motor's coupler, not the transom assembly,...... After the drive is pulled, the motor is unbolted, 'n lifted straight up, 'n out,..... The y-pipe has to come out,.... At that point, you can swap out the inner transom...

    Ayuh,..... "Looking" into the carb is a long, Long ways from rebuilding the carb,...... It sounds like you got a lean condition goin' on, so a carb "Rebuild" is where I'd start,.....

    Ayuh,..... Gas motors 101,.... Pull the distributor, roll the motor over to Tdc, #1, compression stroke, With the cap off the distributor, drop it in with the rotor pointed at the #1 terminal, put the cap back on, fire it up, 'n set the timin' with a timing light,......

    Using regular steel bolts on outdrive

    Ayuh,..... SSteel nuts, 'n bolts like to gall their threads, so I swab 'em with Perfect Seal, before I run the nuts on,..... Helps 'em run on smoother, snug up good, 'n come off nicely later, if necessary,....
