    If I was only a trailer boater, I would not bother with a second pump. If you keep your boat in the water, even only for a few days/weeks at a time, then a second bilge pump is cheap peace of mind.

    The frontal and side areas of a travel trailer/horse trailer/utility trailer are very different that of boats, which is why those kinds of trailers require more tongue weight.

    With a boat, greater than 10% is not necessary. Maybe if you''re pulling a heavy utility trailer or travel trailer, but 7%-10% is fine for a boat.

    The help I got from this crowd was so much more valuable than what Youtube had to offer. Youtube vids have interesting (and often contradictory) ideas, but Iboats brings the goods!

    I don't think that's generally how hybrids work. I think they charge through regenerative braking and by using excess electricity from the alternator while the engine is running.

    It is set to ON during normal operation. If one of the batteries dies, you set the switch to "Combine Batteries".

    The Blue Sea Add-A-Battery kit is pretty easy to install and it really is nice to have the redundancy of a second battery.

    I mostly agree with what you say, but the location of the straps picture will do nothing to keep the boat from moving forward in the event of being rear-ended; if anything, the straps as shown in the pictures are pulling the boat toward the tow vehicle.

    What's the weight difference... about 200 pounds... Equivalent to one large, full grown adult male? My 19' bowrider has a 350 Mag and can pop a skier up out of the water like nobody's business. I can't imagine what a 454 in 21' boat could do.
