    If the check balls get stuck open the motor will start to get hot because the balls are bypassing to much water. The check balls are for draining only Could remove and flush but other than that I don't know

    I like/dislike bias ply heavy duty Like 6 and 8 ply bias ply ties. Four ply is all that's needed so much heavier and last long time with no steel belts to break from sitting long periods in one spot Dislike bias because when cold there is flat spots, but I've gotten mostly use to that

    Manual 17 list Inboards to use MR43LTS and stern drives use MR43T, gap is different also You might be getting close to a bit to lean or timing is not correct (gap .045 and 8* BTDC for MIE) Is there a decal on the motor listing specs?
