    Those look like circuit breakers for the ignition. Look at the back side of the panel to verify.

    It would be....unless you found some old junk somewhere and pull out your and swap it. That should not be an option.

    Do not remove the swim platform. Don't add flappers. There are plenty of boats that don't have your issue that have the transom and no flappers. Find your issue and fix it vs bandaids.

    You happen to have a picture of the old outdrive or the the existing pivot housing? That will tell you everything. There were some of the joint venture drives that came out in 94. Pray you have that one...way better drive. You don't have to pull the engine if they just pulled the drive.

    Mine had a small grommet but nothing like used to come on the OMC Cobra. Not even sure mine even had one in the end. I also don't see any on any part breakouts.

    Only problem is that in certain applications, operating the starter sends voltage to the ignition system from the starter solenoid so the engine will actually run with the starter engaged. That is normally just done for points systems but even my 98 Volvo Penta had it wired that way.

    It could be at TDC for the exhaust stroke as well.
