    there are about 400 filters that will screw in where the delco curerntly fits. its a 13/16-16 thread, 3-9/16 OD gasket is 3" ID x 3-3/8" anti-drain back 25-30 micron rating I personally dont like the shorter filters, as they load up and bypass way too soon Wix 57099 would be my preference...

    the sensor is plugging the hole the reluctor tooth wheel is acting as a spacer for the damper all the timing covers from 1996 and later have the sensor hole in them.
