    Mechanical fuel pump gph question

Did the motor ever get higher then 3500? Need more info? Most likely it's not the fuel pump, it's probably a tired motor or to much pitch Edit: being same boat that need a bolt replaced in the transom could also mean the boat is water logged

    Anchor line

Also depends why your anchoring. I used 3/8 3 strain (200 ft) on my 23 footer. Mostly done to go swimming so 3:1 is good enough. If weather starts turning bad I'm heading in.

    Anchor line

Double braid is not 2 strain https://www.iboats.com/shop/anchor-and-dock/anchor-chains-and-ropes/samon-harbormaster-anchor-line-double-braid.html

    Anchor line

I would use double braid, much stronger and easier to handle That said, your 3 laid line has worked fine this long, it should continue to do so

Maybe my turn for new boat time

This is different then the typical hydraulic steering your thinking about. It's self bleeding and not the issue currently

Maybe my turn for new boat time

The you tube link shows the initial set up and is joystick controlled. Mine doesn't have joy stick control so it has a tie bar between the 2 motors.

Maybe my turn for new boat time

No response from Dealer to my question about disconnecting one of the steering cylinders Pulled the boat today and winterized, sure was a lot easier Pumped water tank out. Pour 1.5 Gal RV AF in and that's all it took to run pink thru water syatem Least I do get a "easy button" with the boat...

Got any neighbors that may want some of it? A cheap 12V fuel pump will do it https://www.amazon.com/JDMSPEED-Universal-Heavy-Electric-Petrol/dp/B00L8IHM9K/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=12+volt+fuel+pump&qid=1697023577&sr=8-3

Audio warning system on 2003 Mercruiser 5.0

That's the correct part number for the gauge but still say, the gauge has nothing to do with the alarm Your thermostat housing showing 155* then it's not over heating, might just be the 2 wire temp switch

I don't know but most things that are press fit need a puller to unseat them

Scan tool connector location for Mercruiser?

It's either near the ECM or the thermostat housing. It will have a plastic cap over the DLC connector

VP and Merc use similar setup and both work easy enough when everything is as it should be. If PS flid is correct then all the steering cable does is push or pull against a valve in the rear control cylinder. Make sure the flats are straight up and down and nut is tight

What to look for before reinstalling a 4.3 engine

Replace the bilge pump and mount both pump and float on a piece of flat stock aluminum. Bent the aluminum flat stock so mounting screws attach some where easier to get to on the stringers. This way if there is a problem later, remove screws and pull the assembly out to repair/replace

    Bravo lll shift adjustement

As Ted mentioned, hand pump is better and I use a hand pump my self The reason you don't want much pressure is as the pressure increases the lip seal do seal tighter. So you want just a little pressure to find out if it will leak with just gear lube

    Bravo lll shift adjustement

Yes you can pressure test the drive but note no more then 7 psi and 5 is better. Can also adjust the shift up top by hand. With motor running and cable disconnected more cable in/out to find the middle in neutral. Now it should just slide into position
