    Just because the pumps have been replaced doesnt mean fuel delivery cant ve interrupted. Fuel hose failure is popular, as is fuel filter clogged. The gray fuel lines dont last very long and come apart from the inside, then it clogs the filters and fuel system. Worth a look see !!

    You might try raising the motor, sometimes the stickers are under there and covered with crud, should be visible looking forward at the back of the clamp you bolt thru.

    It will bounce around and mess up your paint job for sure.... mabey even pull the back down into the water....way back in my younger days I saw a guy loose a 50 hp Merc due to bad wood. His clamp on mount just crushed the wood. The chain held it, but needless to say he took on lots of water...
