    Mercury 3.0 EST no spark

I'm trying to find out if there was excess gas in carb when it dies. Dieseling is caused by incorrect timing, wrong firing order, idle to high, bad gas Need to find out if when it diesels and shuts down hard are the plugs wet, did the carb spit. Might be the fuel pump is not keeping up or...

    Mercruiser 4.3 LX not firing

Did you read the link Rick left in post 8? Yes, but so could every other part in the ignition system. If you test then it can be narrowed down, otherwise buying and throwing parts at the problem may fix it, but may also add more problems

    Mercury 3.0 EST no spark

If plugs are dry, then its lack of fuel If plugs are wet then maybe water is getting in or bad gas I just don't see an electrical problem or carb issue

Can i swap harnesses chrysler 85 to force 85

If your asking can you change the harness from one to another it is yes with a caveat, so long as the ignition system goes with the harness. If donor motor harness is points ignition, then points goes with harness If donor motor harness is electronic ignition then Elect Ign goes with harness

95 Mercruiser 4.3 water in oil

Could still do a compression test with intake off. Make a couple block off plates for the intake ports and pressure test the block thru the drain plug. See if it holds air, and if it does might be worth a try to reinstall the intake and run it

    Wood rot HELP

Regular exterior grade plywood, no need for marine grade There will be a lot of polyester resin needed and fiber glass cloth. Suggest investing in a good full face mask, head socks, and full Tyvek suits with show covers, disposable gloves. I got a large box of them, so each time I completed...
