    pull drive first (read the manual) remove PDS clamp ring. use 3 of the bolts to jack off the PDS clamp ring disconnect power, harness, fuel, cables, and exhaust unbolt motor mounts lift and move forward. (its all in the factory manual)

    do you have a 3-wire motor or a 2-wire motor. that determines how you jump them. if you hear the pump run, however it doesnt sound right, that would be oil level.

    check the main power harness on the motor/relays. the control voltage for the switch and the relay coils comes from the helm. the power its switching comes from the starter.

    I would go with the USCG A1-15 which is rated for 15% ethanol. the old grey line was not rated for ethanol.

    what ever you do. do not use a shop vac to suck out fuel. ( I know someone that did that). I use either a fuel pump rig I have or a manual pump to drain fuel from tanks thru the sender hole once I have the sender out

    you mean 270hp (that is what the 270 means) If you have the trim tabs down a bit, the boat may eventually climb out of the hole, however having some people evenly balanced is normal.

    volvo penta what? they made motors from 5hp to 500hp, and engine sizes from 1 liter to 8 liters Nearly every bow rider I had did that. current boat doesnt for two reasons not enough room in the back I have 50% more HP now than I did when the boat was new.
