    The shift switch cuts spark to 3 cylinders during the shifting.---So remove spark plugs.------So put control in forward.---Turn key on.----Crank motor over.----Do you have spark ( 3/8" gap ) on all leads ?

    Sorry , I do not know what " super weak spark " is.----I do not know what " fat spark " is either.----Use a proper test device.----Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all leads ----What size gap can it jump on each lead ?

    Water from the tell tale does not go through the block.---So it is always cool.----Water goes through the thermostats last.----There are 4 ( 2 per side ) water diverters in the water jackets.---Perhaps these are out of place and blocking water flow.-----Water does NOT go through these...

    Starter wire grounded on block, no spark now.

    Test rectifier / voltage regulator.----Test ignition key kill circuit.----Test stator windings.---Test sensor coils ( no need to remove flywheel ) as well.----If good replace power pack.

    Agreed with above post.----Make sure throttle plate is opening at the correct time.----If it opens too early the motor will often stall.

    Hurry to your local friendly boat shop.---Ask them to pull the flywheel off.----It will save you / money / more damage / aggravation !

    Sounds like the flywheel key might be sheared.----With the factory puller the flywheels usually pop off fairly easy.----Soaking and heat are not required at all.

    Had 4 bucket seats to be done.----Was quoted $700 / $400 and $250 each.-----Had them done at $250 each as a fill in job for the shop.----Took nearly 2 years and not a perfect job , but I am happy with it.

    How are you testing spark?----Do you have a test device with gaps you can set at 3/8" ?----Have you checked starter motor / battery cables / load tested battery.

    A lot of good electronic ignition parts are replaced / tossed out.----Simply by guessing on how they work.----But I do not blame folks for trying.----Many shops now are $120 / hr +tax to figure these issues out.----Easy for me to say but trouble shooting can find the guilty part / parts.
