    The piece above is a check ball assembly used on easy drain (3 point) system. Its also used with additional hoses going into the upper elbows. The bottom connections are only used to drain the system, they are not used to flow water thru for cooling. Your motor came this way from the factory...

    I don't know how your configured, but the boots that connect the exhaust elbows to pipe. If you have mufflers it can over heat them as well. Anything made of rubber could be damaged

    Guess I'm missing something. The Tee I'm discussing has the check balls which are on top of thermostat and the hoses go the the elbows on each side Is your cooling system arranged like the one in pic post 6 ?

    Most have just one, but could have 2 but will need motor serial number to verify. Probably has a 555 ECM The FP relay is powered ON by the ECM applying a ground to one side of the relay. The other side is powered on by the Main Power Relay (MPR).
