    One thing I left out is the neutral safety switch in the throttle handle. Turn key to start and hold, then move the throttle back and forth slightly to see if it engages

    Looking a bit longer, I can see the tube has been bent over to the other side. The windage tray is also being bent. The tube bent over against the tray is what's keeping it from coming out. I would try to drill it out If that fails post something in the wanted section of Offshore only...

    The 3rd wire goes anywhere it can be grounded. Can even use 1 of the 3 screws that hold the body of the electric choke, or anything else that is grounded

    Agree, if its open or has a bad connection. The NS switch connects the yellow/red wire from the start side of the key switch thru the NNS to the start relay. The switch closes when in neutral so its safe to start

    You said by the carb, which it should look like this And there should just be one. Down by the trim pump there are also 2 of the above ones which are the same and are trim relays. The trim relays have nothing to do with a motor starting

    Use either, the hose doesn't come in contact to oil/gas enough to worry about. That is so long as there are no flames then all bets are off 3 inch sounds right, its what I used

    That's the starter slave relay, and its probably gone bad
