    There is no factory Heat exchanger cooled alpha drive setups as Mercruiser determined the pump in an alpha is too weak to pump thru a heat exchanger. Any dealer conversions have a second pickup and a Bravo pump bolted the the front and the alpha pump just keeps the drive cool

    You align as you tighten the clamp ring. You tighten it in a star pattern. Torque is only about 18-22 ft-lbs. You are only dealing with 3/8 fasteners threaded into aluminum Suggest you get a factory manual
