    Don't try to suck water from a bucket. You will toast your impeller. Water needs to be above the impeller to prime. Always use muffs or have the boat in the water

    Did you replace the whole water pump assembly or just an impeller? I recommend the whole pump kit

    No cutting and splicing needed. Only wiring it correctly per the schematic. You have 2 wires swapped So pull the switches back out. Go thru the wiring and make it match the schematic
