    You have a sensor which is pulling the 5V down to 2.55V Turn key ON and watch the 5V reading. One by one disconnect the sensors to see which one is pulling the voltage down. If no change reconnect and go to the next one

    The thing is used to vent the water pump during winterization to get water out. They do fail and can cause over heating if they allow air to be sucked in while running. Its another Merc thing that just seems to cause problems in most cases. Merc tries to make it stupid proof so folks won't...

    Understand your concern but my point is it "appears" the bunk supports are welded to the axle. Only way the hull would contact is if the bunks were soft and compressed more.

    Serial numbers are best when asking about a motor Being a 96 and listing Pur/Wht wire it should have a TBV ignition. The pic shows the TBV module and knock module. You probably don't have the knock module

    Don't see how you can replace the boot without removing the drive. Cab do it with a Alpha but not a Bravo. The center cable comes out from the stern, and the jacket is held in by a nut

    No issue with axle being close to hull so long as the bunks are not soft.

    No filter on pickup tube is best. The motor filter will catch the stuff

    Gauge is a bit off but no issue, they are all the same Now thinking timing Cam/Crank timing marks installed correctly, or ignition timing
