It was clearly stated that this motor does not use 12 volts to produce spark at the plugs.----In fact this motor can be started with a dead battery.----Old time rope on the flywheel.
Maybe the tip of the low speed needle is broken off.-----This motor should be an easy fix.----But I can't get my hands on it.----Post a picture of the needle.
The early 3 cylinder 650 was cross scavenged.----In fact used the same pistons as the 2 cylinder 40 , 4 cylinder 80 and the 6 cylinder in line 90 / 115 HP motors.----The early 3 cylinder 650 did not make the top 10 on the hit parade.
Agreed,----you have to get rid of the oxidized layer of gel coat.----Wet sand and polish.------But everybody seems to have a different tolerance level for cosmetics.
